Accomplishments

What has CSDF and CSDF members accomplished?

New Guild Established
We felt it important that CDS designers be organized both to educate citizens in design skills and to develop and maintain our space. CSDF representatives and volunteers brought the builders group of the CDS back to life as a new, independent NGO the 'New Guild'. Later in 2007 it would successfully plan the Alpine Meadow sim, and start building it with a team larger than the team for Colonia Nova.

Web Presence
We proposed to establish a new CDS web portal, with content added by CDS'ers.
We passed legislation to give the executive branch the go ahead to organize the project.

Safeguarding CDS Intellectual Property
Content Archivist and
IP licensing
In 2006, a disgruntled citizen deleted many buildings in Neufreistadt. To keep this from happening in the future, CSDF proposed and passed a practical method for acquiring the IP licenses to use our in-world content, and for keeping back-ups of CDS infrastructure.

Government Question Hour
We proposed an accessible, informal question hour where the citizens could ask their government officials any question they want.
The Executive Branch has organised several well-attended question hours but found it difficult to establish a regular time. We will continue to press for regular sessions.

Colonia Nova
Moon Adamant, CSDF RA representative at the time, chaired the committee that planned and built the Colonia Nova sim. Others in our faction took on important roles (with others) in overseeing the budgeting process and building public structures.
